中国制药公司复星医药（Fosun Pharma）与总部位于德国美因茨的制药公司BioNTech及其美国合作伙伴辉瑞（Pfizer）目前达成协议，订购了1亿剂新冠疫苗。复星医药12月16日宣布，其中一半应该在今年年底交付。该协议的交易量为2.5亿欧元。据报道，第一批1.25亿欧元将交付5000万剂疫苗即将运抵，第二批疫苗应在中国为疫苗开绿灯后立即交付。
复星医药与德国BioNTech公司12月16日联合宣布，双方已就mRNA新冠核酸疫苗BNT162b2于我国的供应和生产事项达成协议，一旦该疫苗获得我国的上市批准，双方预计将于2021年可向中国大陆供应至少1亿剂BNT162新冠疫苗。两家公司在3月份已经决定进行战略合作，共同开发一种基于BioNTech技术的潜在COVID-19疫苗并实现商业化。
BioNTech主管UgurSahin和复星医药董事长兼首席执行官吴以芳表示，联合开发工作凸显了全球研究合作的重要性。吴以芳还表示：假设疫苗安全有效，我们积极支持疫苗在中国的营销。在疫苗价格方面，吴以芳称，“mRNA核酸疫苗有非常严格的冷链存储和运输条件，目前国内具体定价尚未确定，我们会综合考虑商业成本因素，但新冠疫苗作为一个公共卫生产品，相信定价一定在大众接受范围内”。
国内总部位于上海的BioNTech公司于11月24日在中国江苏省开始了BioNTech疫苗候选者BNT162b2的第二阶段研究，招募了960名年龄在18岁至85岁的健康志愿者。收集的数据旨在支持今后在中国申请疫苗。
据媒体报道，复星医药已经在机场附近建设零下70摄氏度冷藏库，疫苗从国外进口抵达中国后，将第一时间储存进冷库，由国药控股负责冷链运输，保证在零下70摄氏度的条件下运到全国各地的接种点，接种点则将配备医疗级的深冷冰箱，在使用方面，mRNA疫苗可以在2摄氏度至8摄氏度环境下放置5天。
据《华夏时报》报道，12月15日，江苏省公共资源交易中心发布《省公共资源交易中心关于公布新型冠状病毒疫苗采购结果的通知》，北京科兴中维生物技术有限公司和北京生物制品研究所有限公司中标，中标价格均为200元。这是国内省级平台第一次公布疫苗采购价格，此前浙江嘉兴、义乌等多地开始小范围试点注册疫苗，开放新冠疫苗紧急接种预约，总体来看，新冠疫苗的200元/支的定价为多地采用价格。在浙江嘉兴的试点中，新冠疫苗接种2剂次，间隔14-28天，推荐间隔28天。疫苗价格为200元/支（瓶），2剂次共400元。据了解，四川省的新冠肺炎疫苗价格和浙江省一致，均为200元/支。
有关卫生专家近日通过媒体透露，内地计划在农历新年前向各地疾控中心分发1亿剂国药控股和科兴生物生产的疫苗，以避免假期出行高峰期间爆发疫情。2021年1月28日将迎来春运首日，2月9日与10日将是出行高峰期。大批民众每年会返乡过农历新年，传染病传播风险在这期间也相当高。
报道称，中国预计即将展开接种工作，但各省份开始接种的日期可能不一样。首批5000万剂疫苗必须在明年1月15日之前完成接种，第二批5000万剂疫苗应该在2月5日之前完成接种。
