据德国媒体1月17日报道，俄罗斯反对派领导人纳瓦尔尼在他中毒5个月后，定于今天（17日）下午乘搭胜利航空公司从德国柏林机场起飞，于莫斯科夫努科沃机场当地时间17时20分（北京时间18日0时20分）降落。纳瓦尔尼呼吁他的支持者在那里与他会面。莫斯科检察官办公室警告说，机场集会属非法，并威胁非法集会的后果。许多媒体抱怨说，机场管理部门不想允许摄像队。数百人加入了一个专为纳瓦利尼的招待会而设置的脸书（Facebook）小组，其中许多人想在周日去机场。
自去年8月以来，纳瓦尔尼一直在德国治疗中恢复过来。他指责俄罗斯总统普京和联邦安全局对他袭击负责。他希望，在返回俄罗斯后，将展开调查。纳瓦尔尼一再强调，反对普京”制度”的政治斗争只能在俄罗斯本地继续下去，尽管有被监禁或杀害的危险。

德国联邦国防军以及法国、瑞典和禁止化学武器组织（禁化武组织）的实验室在纳瓦尔尼血液检出了非法战争神经毒剂“诺维乔克”（Novichok）。但莫斯科当局仍然怀疑中毒事件。普京和联邦安全局否认了对纳瓦尔尼企图谋杀的指控。
