当地时间1月29日，华为公司首席财务官孟晚舟放宽保释条件的申请被加拿大卑诗省最高法院驳回。孟晚舟目前正在继续为终止美国引渡程序展开努力。
孟晚舟的律师在本月11日和12日提出，鉴于新冠肺炎疫情带来传染的风险，要求放宽孟晚舟的保释条件。而法官认为，孟晚舟唯一必须出面的场合是出庭，但是从孟晚舟的住宅到法庭的路途不算长，随同她出行的安保人员虽与她同乘一辆车，但是并不构成健康风险。而据检方披露的信息，负责监视孟晚舟的安保人员当中曾有两人确诊新冠肺炎，但安保公司却没有向她通报这一情况。
