8月10日下午，震惊全国的大连13岁男孩杀害10岁女童案过去近10个月后，终于等来了法院的判决结果。
2019年10月20日，13岁大连男孩蔡某某将在同小区内居住的10岁女孩小淇杀害，并抛尸灌木丛。因蔡蔡某某未达到法定刑事责任年龄，警方依法不予追究刑事责任，对其进行3年收容教养。
2020年年初，小淇父母和代理律师田参军向大连市沙河口区人民法院递交了民事起诉状，以生命权、健康权和身体权纠纷为由对蔡某某及其父母正式提起民事诉讼，请求赔偿死亡赔偿金、精神损害抚慰金、丧葬费等共将近170万元，以及赔礼道歉。受到疫情因素影响，原定于今年2月开庭审理该案被推迟到了5月，在开庭时，蔡郁超的家属无一人出庭，也没有委托律师出庭。
8月10日下午，法院对民事诉讼做出判决，判决凶手家属赔偿受害者家属128万余元，并在辽宁省级平面媒体上向原告小淇父母及家人公开赔礼道歉。
小琪遇害后近10个月，小淇父母终于等来了法院的判决结果。但夫妻俩仍深感内疚，时至今日，小淇的尸体仍存放在殡仪馆中没有火化。小淇父亲表示，他们对此次判决的结果虽然仍不是很满意，但也不想在民事诉讼上花费太多的时间和精力，下面希望继续推动刑事部分的进展。
被害人家属代理律师、北京田郭律师事务所律师田参军告诉记者，之所以先启动民事诉讼，是因为之前刑事部分推动比较困难，接下去如果推动刑事部分，将聚焦蔡某某的父母是否涉嫌包庇、或者是否涉嫌销毁证据方面。
