德国总理默克尔会晤白俄罗斯反对派领导人

10月6日，德国总理默克尔与白俄罗斯反对派领导人斯维特拉娜·蒂卡哈诺夫斯卡娅进行了45分钟的会谈。蒂卡哈诺夫斯卡娅向德国总理阐述了自己对白俄罗斯局势的看法。她在会面中说，白俄罗斯的抗议活动已经进行了数周，不是对俄罗斯或欧洲的斗争，而是前苏联共和国本身危机的结果，白俄罗斯抗议的主要目的是进行新的选举。为克服内部危机的后果白俄罗斯人民把希望寄托在投资支持、人权组织的援助和独立媒体上。她呼吁西方国家给予更多的支持。

蒂卡哈诺夫斯卡娅总部发表声明中称，现在人民的主要目的是进行新的选举。重要的是要在近期进行选举，因为人民生活在压迫下已经26年了，现在不想再容忍下去。蒂卡哈诺夫斯卡娅继续加强自己在国外的联络。9月29日她同法国总统马克龙会面。德国已经撤回驻白俄罗斯大使。
